Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
The short version
MakersMetric is a set of free fabrication calculators. There are no accounts, no logins, and no server that receives your inputs. Every calculation on this site runs entirely inside your own browser. We do not ask for, collect, or store personal information about you.
The site is supported by advertising. Our advertising partners — currently Google — may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser, which is described in full below.
Information we collect
Calculator inputs: values you type into any calculator (spool weights, printer costs, nozzle dimensions, and so on) are processed locally by JavaScript running on your device. They are never transmitted to us and we never see them.
Accounts and contact details: none. The site has no sign-up, no newsletter, and no contact form.
Server logs: this site is served as static files by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not use this data to identify individuals. Cloudflare's handling of that data is governed by its ownprivacy policy.
Cookies and advertising
MakersMetric itself does not set cookies for tracking or analytics purposes.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising ataboutads.info/choicesor, in Europe, atyouronlinechoices.eu.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies entirely through their settings. Blocking cookies does not affect any calculator on this site — they will continue to work normally.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request. Where advertising partners process your data as independent controllers, those rights are exercised directly with them — Google's controls are linked in the section above.
If you are in a region where advertising requires consent, our advertising partner presents the applicable consent prompt before personalised ads are served.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience of makers, engineers, and hobbyists. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
External links
Some pages link to manufacturer documentation, material datasheets, and other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — for example if we add analytics or a new advertising partner — the updated version will be posted here with a revised date at the top of the page.
